I was born and raised in St. Cloud, and I’ve been a lifelong resident. I received my undergraduate degree from Saint John’s University and my law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.
I have practiced law since 1982. I filed my first bankruptcy case in 1983, and since that first filing, I have been active in debtor bankruptcy work. Since 2006, I have focused my practice exclusively on bankruptcy. I find my bankruptcy practice to be extremely rewarding; it is humbling and gratifying to be able to assist people in resolving their financial problems – having clients get a fresh start financially makes such a positive difference in their lives!
I’ve been lucky enough to be a presenter on how bankruptcy interacts with marriage dissolution issues at legal seminars. I spent six years, from 2004 through 2010 as an adjunct professor of business law at St. Cloud State University.
My wife and I are proud of our three adult children and we think our five grandchildren are wonderfully smart and kind and we love them a lot.
