I mean, just from filing to discharge, you’re going from having debt you can’t pay to having the slate wiped clean. A Chapter 7 is a quick court proceeding to get back on with your life. A Chapter 13 is the payment plan bankruptcy. It’s going to take longer. It takes between three to five years depending on what your payment plan is set up to be. A Chapter 7 that just wipes the debt clean takes about three months or so with the court.”
