Kelsey over her career as a bankruptcy attorney has represented a combination of Chapter 7 & Chapter 13 bankruptcy debtors, Chapter 7 trustees, and clients facing bankruptcy litigation. Kelsey has helped over 1,000 Minnesotans successfully file for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy relief. Prior to joining Kain + Henehan, Kelsey was an associate at Morrison Sund, and prior was a shareholder at Kain & Scott, P.A.

Kelsey is also a small business owner, opening a restaurant in 2014 which remains open today. Through her own business ownership experience, and years of representing business owners in bankruptcy, Kelsey understands the challenges Minnesota business owners may face.

Kelsey grew up in the Minnetonka area and attended Minnetonka High School. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and her juris doctor from Hamline University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in Minnesota. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce, and Volunteer Lawyers Network. Outside of work, Kelsey spends her time cooking, baking, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
